God will use the very weaknesses of Samson—his sexual appetite, his vindictiveness, his temper—because God has a bigger purpose in mind. He wants to create division between the Philistines and the Israelites, ultimately to draw the Israelites back to Himself. Likewise, when your heart starts getting too knit to this world—too comfortable or enticed—God may stir up some trouble. And sometimes, the thing He uses to wake you up to your own joy in His greater purposes is the sinful actions and behaviors of others. Like a father or mother who won't just sit by and allow their child to walk down a path of destruction—even though they do so willingly—God isn’t about to let you go.
